Detailed Model of the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lighting II VSTOL Aircraft Used by the US Marine Corps

The model is a very detailed, beautiful representation of an F-35B Lightning II. The model features the aircraft in a pre-takeoff position with lift engine doors open, the weapon bays open and the landing gear extended. I glued the three pieces of the stand together using a cyanoacrylate instant glue to prevent the stand from falling apart or accidentally losing the clear acrylic plastic aircraft mount. I did not glue the aircraft to the stand. Although the detail of the aircraft pilot representation isn't the best, I highly recommend this model of the F-35B Lightning II aircraft to aircraft enthusiasts.

Lightning II Fighter Model Kit

This cutting-edge fighter jet's unique lines and characteristics are well-rendered thanks to the 1:72 scale's remarkable degree of detail, which captures these attributes. Model lovers and anyone who is interested in military history will both appreciate the devotion to precision that was put into every part of this copy, from the meticulously made cockpit to the landing gear that was copied down to the smallest detail. It gives me the opportunity to exhibit the F-35B in a dynamic position while it is in flight, showing its nimbleness and power. The stability of the model is ensured while still presenting an aesthetically beautiful appearance, thanks to the meticulous attention to detail that was put into the design of the bracket. The whole thing is meant to be a suitable homage to the daring and skill of the military pilots who fly these remarkable planes. It has a pleasant weight because of its die-cast construction, and the quality of the materials that were utilized is obvious in every aspect of its feel. It is a demonstration of the manufacturer's dedication to providing a product that not only has an attractive appearance but also has a robust feel when held in the hand.

This modal F-35B is NOT a toy! There are many small parts. this model F35B is spot on with details

First things first this model F35B is spot on with details of the actual aircraft itself. Down to its decals of its maker Lockheed Martin who is the builder of the real F35B. I am a collector of Fighter jets and this one looks great next to my F22-Raptor. Remember this is not a toy it has many small breakable parts that could be hazardous to children!

Very detailed diecast model

I have an extensive collection of diecast military aircraft but did not have an F-35 Lightning. This is a very detailed model. It is the vertical take-off model and all the body panels for vertical flight are permanently in the open position, including the weapons bays. The model is mostly metal, including the sturdy display stand.

Good looking model

The model itself is nice and heavy, looks well made. Good detail on the aircraft itself. However the only eye sore is the pilot inside. Doesn't even look like a pilot. Looks like someone in a hazmat suit. For the price it is a nice little display model.

Nice detail.

Very nice heavy piece. Wish I could close up all the gear to make it look like in sleek flight. But, I guess it is displaying the most complex variant. My country bought 88 of these (not that variant). I am proud of that i guess.

This one was not broken. The inner mold is not strong enough to be shipped in a bag. Cockpit pilot not of the quantity of the rest of the product .

Very nice aircraft collection

I like to collect aircraft diagrams and this diagram has to be a must buy for example all the details are Clearly shown on the diagram like the bottom of the aircraft which shows me all the parts of the engine. It is a good size, and the material seems very durable which this is made of metal. The stand can also hold good enough the weight of the aircraft without falling; I like that how it comes because it gives a nice decoration to my bedroom. Also I like the that box where it comes has a little bit of information of this kind of combt aircraft. Definitely very unique design and Definitely good value for money!

Fragile

The model is amazingly detailed and looks very good but it is too fragile. Just trying to pop it out of the packaging one of the plastic doors snapped off and I needed to glue it back in place. Otherwise, it looks great!

Great model

Tis model is realistic in the detais. I worked for a company that makes and sources some of the components. My wife also has responsibility for verifying the quality of some of the components, so we are both very familiar with this aircraft. I was surprised that this model came room China.

Awesome diecast jet

This diecast jet came in perfect condition, sometimes I have to re attach a piece that may came off with superglue but not this copy. This came in perfect shape and the box was not damaged. All the outlets wings, bombs etc were attached and in grt shape. This is an amazing looking diecast aircraft. Will look grt in any jet collection you may haveOnly negative can give is the metals stand it came with. Think the piece you have to attach to the base may been made little to thick to fit in the holes of the base well. I still got it to hold ok but it didn’t slide into the grooves like it supposed to so it’s not the most sturdy stand rt now. Thankfully this has its landing gear down in a take off position so I can let it sit on my shelf without a stand or I need to shave some the diecast off the stand in order to make the stand fit into the base better. All an all this is a awesome jet and glad have it in my collection

cool plane, but stand doesn't work well

I love the plane. I worked on the engine when it was being developed, so think of it as "my" plane. This is the really cool STOVL version. None of the doors or vents work. Everything is open, but nothing moves. The stand doesn't work well. I couldn't get the stand to go into the base at all. It's just sort of resting there and has already fallen out twice. If it wasn't for the plane, I'd have given it a lower rating because of the stand.

Nice model, but fragile

The diecast model itself is quite nice, but quite fragile. One landing gear wheel was broken in the sealed box. I was able to super glue it back on, but that's not the experience you really want out of the box. Otherwise, the F-35B is quite detailed and set to SVTOL mode and has all its weapons bays open. The base is also metal, but I also had to glue it too. The tabs that are supposed to notch into the foot are too thick and would barely engage. Again a few dabs of super glue solved the problem. As the description says, this is a MODEL. Certainly not a toy. If you were to let kids play with it, all the small plastic landing gear bits and weapons would be ripped off in short order.
