I recently picked up the Undorbay F6F Hellcat (1/72 Scale), and overall, it’s a very nice addition to a collection. The die-cast metal gives it a great weight and a premium feel that you don't always get with plastic kits. The paintwork and markings are sharp, making it look fantastic on the included display stand.
The packaging is worth noting. The plane comes encased in a very tough, clear plastic shell. It does an excellent job of protecting the model during shipping, ensuring that no small parts or antennas arrive bent or broken.
A quick tip for buyers: While the packaging is sturdy, you definitely need to take your time when unpacking it. Because the plastic fits so snugly to protect the aircraft, you have to be gentle when popping it out to avoid putting too much pressure on the wings or landing gear. If you’re patient with the unboxing, you’ll have a pristine, high-quality Hellcat ready for display.
Pros:
Solid metal construction with a "premium" feel.
Excellent protective packaging.
Accurate 1/72 scale detailing.
Cons:
Requires a bit of finesse to remove from the plastic without damaging the finer parts.
Great value for any aviation enthusiast or WWII history buff!
