FAQs
What types of warships are included in this collection?
This collection focuses on WWII-era warships across three categories: aircraft carriers (such as the 1/700 USS Enterprise CV-6), submarines (a series of 1/350 German Kriegsmarine U-boats including the U-47, U-552, and U-181), and battleships (a 1/1000 series of US Navy ships including the USS North Carolina, New Jersey, Washington, Alabama, and Missouri).
Why are the scales so different between models (1/350, 1/700, 1/1000)?
Scale is chosen to keep each finished model a manageable display size relative to the real vessel. Submarines, which are smaller in real life, are produced in a larger 1/350 scale to preserve detail, while massive battleships and carriers use smaller scales like 1/1000 and 1/700 so the finished model remains a reasonable size for a shelf or desk.
What material are these warship models made from?
Our warships are primarily diecast metal alloy construction, which gives each model substantial weight and a durable, premium feel compared to plastic kits. Some models also incorporate ABS plastic components for fine structural details such as masts, guns, or radar arrays.
Do the models come pre-assembled?
Yes, every ship and submarine model arrives fully built and ready to display — there is no kit assembly, gluing, or painting required.
Do the models include a display stand or case?
Most models include a dedicated display stand designed to support the hull at the correct angle. Some models, such as the USS Enterprise CV-6, also include a dust cover/display box to help keep the model clean while still visible. Check each product listing for the exact accessories included.
Are the historical details and markings accurate?
Yes, we aim for historical accuracy in hull numbers, livery, and structural details — for example, our USS Missouri model is offered in its 1991 Gulf War configuration, and each U-boat model reflects a specific historical vessel and service record. Product descriptions include background on the real ship's history.
Are these models suitable for children, or are they intended for adult collectors?
These are detailed display pieces intended primarily for adult collectors and naval history enthusiasts. Due to small, delicate parts (masts, guns, antennas), they are not designed as children's toys and should be kept out of reach of young children.
How should I clean and care for my warship model?
Dust your model regularly with a soft, dry brush or microfiber cloth. Avoid water, solvents, or household cleaners, as these can damage the paint finish and cause metal components to oxidize over time. If your model includes a dust cover or display box, keeping it covered when not being actively viewed will help preserve its finish.
What if my model arrives damaged or with missing parts?
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If you notice any damage, missing components (such as masts or display stands), or defects, contact us immediately at service@nuotie.com with photos of the issue so we can arrange a replacement or refund.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy from the date of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase included. Sale/clearance items are not eligible for returns — please contact service@nuotie.com to start a return request.
Do you ship internationally, and is shipping free?
Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide, and many orders qualify for free shipping. Exact shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location.
Can I track my order once it ships?
Yes. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships, and you can follow its progress anytime through our Track Your Order page.
Are these models weapons, or do they have any functional military components?
No. These are static collector-grade scale replicas intended for display and historical appreciation only. They contain no functional weapons, propulsion, or mechanical systems of any kind.
