“Air Force One” is not a specific aircraft, but the radio call sign for any U.S. Air Force plane carrying the President of the United States. For more than six decades, the world has recognized the classic pale blue-and-white livery dating back to the Kennedy era. The new transitional VC‑25B (Boeing 747‑8) features an all-new livery combining red, white, navy blue and gold trim, retiring the iconic “robin’s egg blue” scheme that has served for half a century. It marks a historic major makeover for the presidential aircraft.
